Dipped Hem Skirt + Rimmel True Vintage Lipstick

So I bought myself this gorgeous turquoise-y blue dipped hem chiffon skirt from Primark, it was only £10 and I've been looking for one for a couple of weeks now, I wanted nude but this colour really caught my eye.

Now when I first tried it on, I was unsure if it suited me due to being a mere 5ft2" !

What are your thoughts? I have kept the price tag on, in case I do decide to take it back!!

I also thought I hadn't posted any lipstick shots in a while, this is Rimmel True Vintage and I love it, it's a really deep red-purple shade, which I think looks gorgeous!

It's definitely a winter shade, so due to the weather being grim today I decided it was the right type of weather to rock it before all the pastels come out in the spring/summer!

What are your favourite dark lipsticks?
Hope you're all having a lovely day xxxxxxxxxxxxx

MUA Nectar Shade 16 - Lipstick Review

So today I put this lipstick on, as I've had it a few weeks now but haven't really tried it out.
Today when I glided it on I realised what a gorgeous colour it is, especially for a £1 lipstick so decided it would be great to review it for all of you.

MUA is a bargain beauty brand from Superdrug and most products are priced at just £1, like this lipstick.
I am a fan of their products, although some are really representative of their £1 price tag, others are good in quality and stand up there with lines such as Barry M and Rimmel.

This lipstick is called Nectar and in bullet form it looks like a dark peach colour, however when swatched or put onto the lips it comes out as a sheer orange which feel moisturising and it easily buildable for a more pigmented finish.

Due to the sheerness it has a glossy finish which means you wouldn't need to put lip gloss or balm over the top of the lipstick, though I would ensure that your lips are well moisturised before application as many MUA lipsticks, whether matt or gloss finish tend to cling to any dry patches on your lips.

Overall I think this is a gorgeous summer colour and would look FAB with a tan, thumbs up to MUA for creating another gorgeous lipstick with a small price tag.

Red bottoms and lipsticks (as per)

Hey everyone, so just a couple of updates really with a couple of OOTD's and some new make-up!!

Today, i've been freezing and so I chose to wear my favouritist cardigan.
Also, as you will notice in my outfits I am loving coloured bottoms atm, just jazzes outfits up!
Please excuse my leopard print socks in this outfit, I was actually wearing my docs, but had just taken them off !
  • Cardigan, Marks & Spencers
  • Pacha vest, Ibiza
  • Wine leggings, Missguided.com
  • Necklace, Marc Jacobs
  • Socks, Tesco

Took a trip to superdrug and as a personal fan of cheap make-up I was very excited to see the new MUA lipsticks, and decided to treat myself to a couple.
The colours which I have here are Nectar - Shade 16 and Bare - Shade 14.
MUA lipsticks smell gorgeous and although these two are a bit more glossy than I would prefer they still stay on for quite a while considering they are only £1!!

Me wearing Nectar above (I am wearing it over Barry M 101 - Marshmallow which is why it doesn't look too orange). Love it loads.
Also got a couple of new Rimmel lipsticks as I couldn't resist, these are lasting fix and as seen are gorgeous natural colours which would go with any outfit or make-up look.

Another outfit from the other day !!

  • Black tee, Topshop
  • Red jeans, New Look
  • Studded loafers, eBay
  • Peacock necklace, eBay
  • Ring, Hedkandi
  • Nail Varnish - Mushroom, Barry M
Hope to post again to you soon now I have found my rechargeable batteries!!

Lana Del Rey make up

So recently, well since I've actually been able to put eye make up on again (I had conjunctivitis), I've become obsessed literally with watching make up tutorials.
So last night I was up till about 2 watching another of my favourite make up tutorial vloggers, I have many, Pixi2woo, whose channel can be found here [pixi2woo]

There are so many looks I want to try from her collection, so today I decided to give one a go myself, and chose the Lana Del Rey inspired look.

As I am not made of money (oh how I wish I was) I had to use cheaper products than the mac make up she is fortunate enough to have !!
These are the products I used:

  • Rimmel lasting finish foundation in shade 200 Soft Beige
  • Sleek brow kit in Light #817
  • MUA eyeshadow in Shade 1 - Pearl
  • Urban Decay eyeshadow in Stray Dog
  • Rimmel eyeshadow in a dark brown, sorry it's from a palette so i'm unsure of the colour
  • A lilac eyeshadow from the Marks & Spencers perfection palette
  • Urban Decay eyeshadow in Oil Slick
  • Rimmel Scandeleyes mascara in Black
  • MUA eyeliner in Snow White
  • Maybelline gel eyeliner in Black
  • Bourjous mineral radiance powder in 02 Vanille
  • A similar shade of light brown blush Tanya uses in the video from the M&S palette
  • Rimmel match perfection concealer in 010 Ivory
  • Rimmel lasting finish lipstick in 250 Birthday Suit
This is look I ended up with is in the pictures below, I personally think they're very similar, however the eyeshadows I used are not as matte as the ones Tanya uses in her video but I love a bit of shimmer !!

Yes my t-shirt does say 'Mrs Prince Harry' I love the Royals, ahhaha !!
Anyway, have a lovely day, it's snowing finely in Liverpool hope it's not snowing where you are (well unless you like snow, I hate the stuff).

Revlon Pinch Me & More Rimmel Lipstick !

So today after an average day at uni me and my flatmate were bored so decided to take a trip which ended up in me buying more make up products I do not need!!

In addition to yesterday I bought some new lipsticks, Rimmel as usual, I just love the way they smell although I do also love a Barry M lipstick !!

I decided to be brave and buy Coral in Gold 210 which is a lipstick i've always had my eye on but have been nervous to try due to how orangey it looks, however I went for it and I also bought Signature Red 175 which is the perfect everyday red, muted compared to my favourite red of all time Red Hot 168 and i'm also in love with the gorgeous pillarbox red from the £1 Superdrug brand MUA which is gorgeous for a cheaper product.
Here are some swatches of the Rimmel colours! Beautiful aren't they !

I also purchased 3 shades of Revlon's Pinch Me, which is a sheer gel blush. I only tend to wear blusher to contour, apart from pale pinks which I sometimes wear on the apples of my cheeks, so for sheer colours I thought I'd give them a try.
I got them in Peach Afterglow 305, Plum Flushed 315 and Playful Pink 300.
I attempted to swatch them but the colour wouldn't show properly due to them being such a sheer product, but I reckon with a couple of thin layers you could really build up colour.
The only problem I found when I applied the Playful Pink to the apples of my cheeks was that the formula made my foundation run, so I reapplied my powder, and this gave me a lovely finish !!
Revlon Pinch Me Sheer Gel Blush Colour: 300 Playful Pink

Now i'm off to paint my toenails in Collection 2000 Hot Looks in Shamless 24, before putting off my uni work for another day, terrible student me !

Headbands & Lipsticks

Heyy, so today I didn't have to get up bright and early for uni so decided to take my time getting ready !
I even took the time to put some false eyelashes on !!

With my hair I thought i'd attempt to re-create a hippy look, but I am too much of a wimp to actually go outside with my hair like this, not entirely sure why, I just am.
So to do this I simply straightened the front bits of my hair and some bits around my head (cause my hairs kinda wavy naturally), then I took three sections from the top and teased it backwards before smoothing it out with a comb.
After doing that I clipped my two front sections of hair off my face using bobbypins, and finished by putting on the feather headband which is from Primark, I think it looks so cute, and I defo will be actually wearing my hair like this during summer, need to get more confidence ! hahaa

Anyway as well as my hurr, I also went into town and bought two gorgeous rimmel lipsticks,
one is a gorgeous everyday pink which is nude enough if you don't want people to know your wearing make-up but just pink enough to set your whole make up look off, and that is Pink Corest 008! Stunning.

And the second one I got I was unsure about whether it would suit me, but after looking at plenty of other colours I went for it, and it's True Vintage 123! I got home and put it straight on and I've got to say it's a stand-out colour that doesn't stand-out which makes no sense at all, but I am absolutely smitten with it!! (Wing earrings from New Look).

So that has been my day so far, got to do uni work now which is not fun at all, but hey i've had a lovelyyyyy day.
P.s. my eyelashes are primarks finest £1, love love love them. And my pale orange top is from Urban outfitters with a black Tesco vest underneath!

PEACE xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
